Imperium Collection’s The Grille by Eichardt is welcoming two
new additions to their highly skilled staff with the appointment of
a new head chef and restaurant manager. Oliver Xie will take the
reins as head chef, and Martial Passignat will lead the floor with
his new role as restaurant manager.
Xie joins The Grille with over 15 years’ experience, having
worked previously at Euro Bar, Oyster & Chop, Giraffe, Jervois
Steak House and the Hilton’s FISH Restaurant to name a few. His
modern flair will help guests to see Central Otago’s produce and
flavour in a new light.
Passignat will head the front of house team and joins after
working previously at Burgundy’s Michelin-starred Restaurant Le
Charlemagne and La Willa Florentine in Lyon, as well as several
other key tourism destinations across the globe.
“It’s important to keep evolving in the fast-paced food and
beverage world, and we are very excited to have two new, highly
skilled and passionate team members join our team,” explained
James Cavanagh, Imperium Collection group manager. “Each will
bring a fresh perspective to the restaurant.”
